The old funicular of the SBB power station is in official operation. Some Impressions of the first day. The view to the valley and the old Gotthard railway is breathtaking. The inhabitants and the children of Bristen are happy. The village is accessible for weeks only by foot or by this cable car. The only connecting road was buried and destroyed. The ride is free for all, but residents have priority. The funicular is operated by members of the civil protection. It runs nonstop from 4 in the morning until midnight. There is no timetable, it runs about every twenty minutes from below and above. Maybe it's now really the last time that the cable car is used again after 97 years. Switzerland, March 15, 2017.
